Yeah, it is a pretty overdone thing, I agree with you. Buuuuut, 20CB is still awesome. I also think that the sometimes bad acting and the over-theatricality is part of the awesome. And then, there is Otcho. Who is just badass no matter how you slice it.

Ah, Studio Ghibli never disappoints.

If anyone's interested in reading, I found that there's a 3-chapter manga that The Cat Returns was based on, called Baron: The Cat Returns. It's pretty good, and it's interesting to see the minor differences that there are between the manga and the movie.
