How much you want to bet they just keep the same shows and only changed the block title?

Anime that is censored to American daytime children's television standards? No thanks.

· TOONAMI - Beginning Saturday, May 26, Adult Swim brings back Toonami, the network's popular block of anime programming. Airing weekly from midnight to 6 a.m. (ET/PT), in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami, Adult Swim is also developing new original anime programming for fans.

What I want to see is the return of the Sci-Fi channel's Saturday Anime. They had some good shit on in the early mornings.

It was Toonami that showed me the wonder that is G-Gundam.

At least they would be able to say shark.

From Midnight to 6AM huh? well, they probably won't do much censoring then as they're appealing to the 18+ audience rather than the 13+ audience they originally targeted 12 years ago.

It'd be pretty awesome if the new Toonami grabbed up the airing rights to all the Anime that Streamline Pictures and Manga Entertainment released in the early 90s. Akira, Venus Wars, 8-Man After, Project Ako, Robot Carnival, 3x3 Eyes, Vampire Hunter D, Dirty Pair, Crying Freeman, Golgo 13, etc. And complete with the original dubs!

The only one I ever saw on Sci-Fi was Project Ako. Usually I was just waiting for the anime to end so I could watch MST3K

I doubt AS will bother with the short OVA/movie stuff. They are going to want TV shows. But we can dream, can't we?

12:00 a.m. - Bleach
12:30 a.m. - Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. - Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop

The schedule then repeats between 3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.

DeMarco added that Toonami will not be showing Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and similar titles since "the rights to those shows are owned by our competition or are out of our price range." He continued, "Something you should know about THIS Toonami: We have very, very little $$. This experiment will need ratings success to receive more funding for new shows, more [mascot character] Tom animation, etc. I'm thankful for the $$ we've gotten, but it isn't a lot."

So Viacomm bought all of DBZ just for showing DBZ Kai. How about that.
