It's really meh.

It's looks nice, but I have no idea what's going on. It's much too frenetic. Everyone compares it to Gurren Lagann because it's made by the same staff, but TTGL knew when to turn it down. This show just turns on the gas and never stops, and it doesn't work. Also, the show has done nothing to make me care about any of the characters. Yes, it's only one episode in, but they can do SOMETHING.

It returns...Also, haven't watched yet. BRB, ~thirty minutes.

I can see what Zaku means. I'm not getting hook I had with Gurren.

After watching the second episode, I'm going to straight up admit that I don't get this show. Is is supposed to be Gurren Lagann except replace mechs with school life? It just seems weird.

Also, it deserves it's ecchi tag.

Okay, it's especially more evident in the second episode, but I think I'll mention my thought on this.

This isn't Gurren Lagann. I think they threw references to it in the first episode (drills and whatnot) and it has some of the spirit of Gurren (like the aforementioned ecchi) but Kill la Kill is gonna be its own show, not just a Gurren homage series. As far as where it's going to go plotwise, I have no clue at this point.

And I'll admit, I don't think this is the best show I've ever seen (Inferno Cop still sits on that throne), but I still think it's a good show with a nice art style and decent action scenes. I'm still happy for Studio Trigger's first TV series, and I'm still going to be hyped each Thursday when an episode comes out.

Let me try to restate my opinion. I understand it's doing it's own thing and I have no issue with that, but is it supposed to be a parody of the school life genre, much like what Gurren Lagann did with the mech genre?

I think this show would do better if it had been animated with Garry's Mod.

Kill La Kill is the best anime that doesn't have loli megane demon killing girls this season. It's Gurren Lagann and FLCL's demented love child. Also has a pretty balling end theme.

Given what I know about Jeff, I can say he probably actually doesn't know about FLCL.

Rest assured, this shall be fixed.
