I think the blue is a hit but I'm still looking for a better non-link colour. Seems a little too dark on the dark blue bg so maybe #b000ff could be a little better. I've just been taking screen caps and using GIMP to check which colours seem to work. This isn't causing too much of a problem to change it often is it Dirk the Magnificent?

Only takes a minute to change things around.

Find a replacement for the yellow colored text on the bottom of the forums and on the post page. Another color other than the last purple would be good.

Tricky, because adding a new colour makes it start seeming like a 3rd grader who likes "pretty colors" did it but adding another shade of blue makes it seem monotonous. However, I think might have gotten something with #3b804b, a dark green.

Glad to see the borders got added back.

The colors seem pretty good, except that the text for disabling smilies, BBCode, etc shows up as yellow on light blue and is very difficult to read.

Looks really good now. The purple still seems a bit off and I might get around to finding a better colour, but for now it's good. Glad to see the quick reply back and the borders. Only complaint I have is that in the old forums I could be less lazy and url links would open in a new tab when clicked on instead of same tab. I know middle mouse button, but my old mouse wouldn't respond properly to it so I liked the new tab stuff.

Sorry, was stressed at that moment. Better now.

Anyway, I like what chrono just said about the links (i.e- youtube videos) opening in a new tab. Also, the quote system used to auto to the quick reply window, is it still possible to get it to do that as well?

I have now changed this, but it will only effect new posts with links.

This will take a large amount of time for me to do, and at the moment I am trying to get the forums into a finalized form.

The random banner now does the holiday images. Only one day late for the celebration of the universe's beginning.

OK, I have 3 problems relating to how the forums handle urls. In order of importance to be fixed for me:

1. Brackets tend to break the urls. For example, say I have a theoretical file at http://www.uwplatt.edu/~saym/Hellsing_c92[Hiranomoe].zip It only goes up to the bracket then stops but the rest is kinda important.

2. I was trying to put up an awesome link the other day at http://www.mzzt.net/tf2/ but it changed the t f 2 to Team Fortress 2 as shown, and therefore to the wrong location. Even happened when i used "url="

3. If you don't use the url= code, if you click the website it opens the page in the same tab instead of a new one. Again, this is the least important to me as I've ended up middle clicking everything now, but occasionally forget to and then get annoyed.

1. That's because of BBCode. You can fix the problem by using the ascii code for brackets instead.
2. That's because of admin abuse of word censors.
3. That's what the middle-click is for.
